How Can swelling And Pain In The Feet be Treated?

I am 38 yrs old & have had very very severe edema for the past 2 weeks non stop, as well as very swollen feet. My feet have been swelling on & off for thee past year but never this badly & never for a long period of time like this. Tests for my Heart came back fine. & im pretty sure my kidneys are functioning properly. A nurse mentioned lupas. Can this be a symptom of lupas?
